In 2016-17, he shifted his focus to family content, aiming to deliver messages of strength and inspiration to children. This shift led to the production of Dolphin Kick, which premiered on Netflix and topped the streaming charts in North America multiple times. Round of Your Life premiered on Showtime in November 2019.

Nixon's recent projects include Dolphin Island, released in 2021 via SONY/Pureflix, and Lionsgate's 2022 release of Jurassic Tale, a dinosaur family comedy and Saving Bimini currently in post production.
